Flex Your Rights strives to fulfill orders within 3 business days. When we are really busy we may take a day or two longer. Please remember that we are a small nonprofit whose primary mission is to educate people about their constitutional rights. We are not Amazon, so please be patient.
Items shipped via USPS Priority or First-Class Mail usually arrive within 5 business days from the date of your order. DVDs shipped via USPS Media Mail usually arrive within 7 business days but might take up to 10 business days from the date of your order. If you require expedited or overnight shipping for DVDs, you may order both 10 Rules and BUSTED via Amazon. (Please note that only a small percentage of Amazon order proceeds support Flex Your Rights.)
When you place an order you’ll receive a confirmation email, as well as an email when we ship. US domestic orders will receive a tracking number. We only ship US Postal Service.
Domestic shipping costs
We charge a flat $5.00 shipping and handling fee for all orders under $50.00 shipped in the USA. Orders $50.00 and over qualify for free shipping via USPS Media Mail. Customers who order 1 or 2 DVDs — whether or not they qualify for free shipping from a separate offer — will have orders shipped via USPS First Class. Customers who order 3 or more DVDs will qualify for free shipping via USPS Media Mail. However, customers who qualify for this free shipping option may choose during checkout to have items shipped via USPS First Class for an additional $5.00.
Ideally you should receive your order within a week of shipping. If the link to the tracking number is not working, occasionally they only track at delivery. Don’t panic if you got a tracking number and the link isn’t working immediately.
We do not provide tracking for international orders. We can get you a customs number but have found the cost of shipping internationally with tracking is prohibitive. The minimum transit time for international shipping is 3-4 weeks (even to Canada). If you haven’t gotten your order within 4 weeks of the shipping confirmation, send us a quick e-mail.
Non-US orders are shipped via USPS First-Class Mail International Parcel. Costs are calculated based on weight and distance and are reflected in the checkout process.
Can I pay by check or money order?
We no longer accept DVD orders by check or money order. Online donations are safe, secure, and fast. Also, we prefer to spend our time creating new educational content, not handling avoidable paperwork. However, donation checks that are not DVD orders may be mailed to:

We only check this box about once per week, so please allow up to two weeks for check processing.
We only offer wholesale discounts to law firms, schools, or select nonprofits interested in purchasing 10 or more DVDs. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We will issue refunds for customers who aren’t completely satisfied with our products, but we require that you ship the product back to us before we will process the refund, less the shipping fees. Please include the original email invoice or order number. For items with free shipping there is a $5.00 restocking fee.
No returns/refunds after 60 days. Any other order related concerns must be addressed within 60 days.

Oops! I gave you the wrong shipping address.
Immediately mail us your order number and the correct address to email@example.com, and we’ll do our best to fix it for you. Orders ship out very quickly, so there’s no guarantee we’ll be able to make corrections to an order before it ships.
What if my DVD doesn’t play?
If it doesn’t play, please try it in another — perhaps newer — player. (This works about 80% of the time.) If the problem persists, please return the DVD in the original packaging to our fulfillment company at the above address. Please enclose a printout of the original email confirmation (with order number) with the return. Upon receipt we will ship you a new DVD and refund your shipping costs.
If your product was damaged during shipping, we ask that you take a photo of the damaged product and email it to us. Once we receive the photo, we’ll send you a replacement free of charge.
If there’s an issue with size on the t-shirts, we will accept returns but not exchanges. The price of the shirt will be refunded to you (less the shipping costs). When the return is received in new condition (must not be worn or washed) your account will be credited. Please enclose a printout of the original email confirmation (with order number) with the return.
All Flex t-shirts are made with American Apparel’s 100% preshrunk combed cotton knit fabric. Expect about 5-7% (about a half a shirt size) shrinkage after normal wash. Wash warm, dry low. Although you should not expect any significant fading, wash colors separately from whites, especially on the first wash.
American Apparel shirts are the softest, smoothest, best-looking T-shirt available anywhere. They are made of 100% Fine Jersey cotton, combed for softness and comfort. They tend to be a snug fit. If in doubt order larger.

Do I need Flex Your Rights’ permission for public DVD screenings?
All Flex Your Rights educational materials — including original web content and videos — are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License. As such, you are generally permitted and encouraged to screen our DVDs in public. (This includes local public-access television.) No additional written permission or fees are required, so long as you are not displaying the work for commercial purposes.
My campus administration needs your direct permission to screen Flex DVDs
