Negative. Pepper spray and tasers are both useful tools for law enforcement. To tell you the truth, those tools end up saving criminals a lot of discomfort. If I did not carry those on my belt I would be forced to use my ASP or Glock. I could also go "hands-on" with the suspect but someone usually gets injured. That will in turn result in the tax payers either paying the suspect's medical bills or my medical bills. I have been tazed at the academy at it is not that bad. After the five seconds there are no lasting effects. OC spray now I'm not going to lie..sucks. Again, there is no lasting injuries once you are decontaminated.
