"As a journalist covering the war on drugs, Ive often been surprised at how readily people consent to searches. By clearly explaining and vividly illustrating the dynamics of encounters with the police, BUSTED should help people keep their calm -- and their freedom." Can't say I believe his cover
Can't say I believe his cover story at all. Let's face it, he was doing a sting operation on a cop he must have had some idea was bad. Why else turn into that particular lot with a camera running? Why didn't his friend ever turn up? Just call it a sting operation. It was still a great catch. I wonder if the cop was playing mind games or if he really has trumped up charges before? Did he end up actually trying to charge the kid with anything? Even if it was just a mind game, it's totally unacceptable to ever hear something like that coming from the police. That's like hearing your pastor say, "So, whaddya think? How about we rape some women and go rob a bank? Nah, I'm just kiddin with you, wanted to see if you were a sinner." Like, whoa, that is just WAY out of bounds.
