"I'm just saying that if some guy whipped out a video camera at your job....."
If your job is on public property then you should expect and accept that you will be videotaped, just as everyone else on public property is.
"Most police are honest and trying to serve."
Good, then they should have absolutely nothing to hide; they would have nothing to lose and everything to gain by being videotaped. Only somebody with something to hide would not want to be documented, otherwise the video evidence would only support that they have done nothing wrong.
The fact of the matter is that the average patrol officer is an underpaid loser with no sex life and that gnawing little feeling that no one wants to get close to them because of their work. They like to "peacock" and try to assert their dominance over other males to stroke their egos and compensate for their lack of a good feeling about themselves; mainly using their job as a pedestal to try and justify their significance to society. Many, many of them have chemical dependence issues (mainly alcohol and prescription drugs) which further add to the destabilization of their psyche from living a life of hypocrisy.
I have videotaped so many cops in my town it is beyond funny. They used to arrest me and claim i was obstructing justice because i would shout out to people that they had pulled over that they had 5th amendment protections and absolutely do not have to answer any questions being asked. I got a lawyer and started to file harassment and civil right violation complaints and cases against the officers and viola! They stopped messing with me real quick. My advice is find the best lawyer you can and get him to agree to represent you and write official complaint letters for you for half price if you can guarantee a steady supply of work for him. This may get a little expensive but it works BIG TIME. Take my advice and videotape and consciously protest ALL police activity that occurs on public property, it is the only way to keep the heat on these assholes and make them realize that the watchers ARE being watched !
