That thin piece of paper
The way our legisliars work is that as soon as they realize what's going on with the video there will be new legislation proposed further undermining rights. Anyone opposing the legislation will be labeled as "weak on drugs" or "soft on crime". And "non political" police associations will endorse their political opponents in political campaigns. Oh, the perils of telling the truth.
